What it looks like
Screenshots from the shipping version, not mockups.
-
One affirmation fills the screen. Swipe up for the next. -
Light and dark are both finished designs, not one inverted. -
Six atmospheres. Lavender Dusk is free, the other five come with Pro. -
The gradient moves slowly while you read, and stops if you ask iOS to reduce motion.
Five things Selune does
A feed you swipe, not a list you scroll
One affirmation fills the screen over a mesh gradient that breathes on a slow cycle. Press and hold a card for a third of a second and the gradient blooms and settles with your breath. Nothing else competes for your attention while the words are on screen.
Reminders that do not quietly stop
An app that schedules notifications far into the future runs into the iOS limit of 64 pending alerts, and once that queue has drained the reminders simply end. Selune keeps at most 50 pending and rebuilds the queue from the current moment on every launch, on every delivery and from a background refresh task. Tap one and it opens the exact affirmation it showed you.
Home and Lock Screen widgets
Four placements: a small and a medium Home Screen widget, a rectangular Lock Screen widget and a single line that sits above the clock. The line changes once an hour, keyed to the clock, so every widget on your phone agrees on what it should be showing. Widgets are part of the free version.
1,054 affirmations in twelve languages
Seventeen categories, from Self-Love and Confidence to Sleep & Rest, Gratitude, Focus & Productivity and Letting Go. Every line exists in all twelve languages, so switching your iPhone to German or Japanese gives you a written library, not a machine rendering of an English one. A rotation engine tracks what you have already seen and holds repeats back.
Favorites, streaks and sharing
Keep the lines that land. A streak counts the days you showed up and forgives one missed day before it resets. Any affirmation can be shared as a gradient image. With Pro you can also write and save your own lines into the same rotation.
Pick the moment in your day
The onboarding asks what you want to work on and sets both the feed and the reminder window accordingly. Three common starting points:
Morning
The Morning Boost category and a reminder window across the working day, so the first line of the day reaches you before the inbox does.
Morning affirmations on iPhoneEvening and sleep
Sleep & Rest and Evening Wind-Down, with a single gentle reminder around half past nine and a dark atmosphere that does not glare.
Affirmations for sleepWhen the day is loud
Anxiety & Calm, Stress Relief and Inner Peace, 186 short lines and a card you can hold while you slow your breathing down.
Calming affirmationsWhat is free and what is not
The whole affirmation library is in the free version. Pro changes how much you can shape it, and removes the ads.

Where Selune stands today
One rating is one rating. Selune is a young app with a single reviewer so far, and it would be dishonest to dress that up as a verdict. If you want the affirmation app with the longest track record, that is not Selune yet, and the comparison with I am says so plainly. What Selune can be judged on right now is what is in it: 1,054 affirmations, twelve languages, four widget placements and a reminder schedule that is built not to run dry.
Frequently asked questions
Is Selune free?
Selune is free to download from the App Store, and the free version is not a trial that runs out. It includes all 1,054 affirmations, all 17 categories, one daily reminder, favorites, sharing, and the Home and Lock Screen widgets. The free version carries a small banner under the feed and, from your second session onward, at most one full screen ad after you share an affirmation, never more often than once every three minutes. Selune Pro removes the ads.
Do I have to subscribe?
No. Selune Pro is sold three ways: $3.99 per month, $24.99 per year with a 3 day free trial, or a single lifetime purchase of $49.99 that is not a subscription and never renews. Prices are for the United States App Store and differ by country. Everything in the free version stays free whether you buy anything or not.
What does Selune Pro actually unlock?
Five of the six themes, up to ten reminders a day instead of one, saving your own affirmations in the built in editor, and an app without ads. The affirmation library itself is not held back: all 1,054 lines across all 17 categories are in the free version.
Do the daily reminders keep arriving?
That is the part the app is built around. iOS holds only the 64 soonest pending local notifications, so an app that schedules far ahead quietly runs dry. Selune keeps at most 50 pending and rebuilds the whole queue from the current moment every time you open the app, every time a reminder is delivered, and from a registered background refresh task. Tapping a reminder opens the exact affirmation it showed you.
Which languages does Selune speak?
Twelve: English, German, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. All 1,054 affirmations and all 17 category names exist in every one of them, and the app picks the language from your iPhone language settings.
Do I need an account?
No account and no sign in. Your favorites, your own affirmations, your reminder settings and your streak live in the app's own database on your iPhone. The free version does load ads, so the ad network is contacted while you use it, and the app runs a consent flow before that starts, including the iOS tracking prompt. Selune Pro removes the ads.
Is an affirmations app a substitute for therapy?
No. Selune is a written library and a reminder schedule. It is not medical care, not a diagnosis and not treatment. If something is weighing on you enough to affect your daily life, please talk to a doctor or a qualified therapist.
