Selune is a daily affirmations app. Everything you write, favorite and track stays on your device. The free version shows advertising, and optional recommendations for our other apps use external services and aggregate view and open counts. Advertising only starts after you have been asked for your consent. This page explains these services and how to withdraw advertising consent.
Recommendations for our other apps
In Settings, the app can fetch up to three recommendations for our other apps. The choices depend on the app you are using, App Store availability and iOS compatibility, not on your personal data or activity inside the app. App icons load from Apple’s image servers. Opening a recommendation takes you to the App Store with a campaign label identifying the source app and placement, never a person.
We count qualified views and successful opens in aggregate. Our service stores daily counts with the source app, recommended app, placement, configuration revision and optional presentation variant. It does not store an account, advertising identifier, device identifier, persistent visitor identifier or personal profile, and it does not receive the app’s private content. These counts cannot tell us who installed an app.
The recommendation service is hosted by Supabase. Network requests necessarily expose an IP address to the hosting provider for delivery and security; our aggregate counter does not store it. What we collect
Selune has no account to create, no sign-in and no server that stores your affirmations. Nothing you write in the app is sent to us. We never ask for your email address, your telephone number, your location or any payment detail.
During the first run Selune offers to remember a first name so that some affirmations can address you. That field is optional, you can skip it, and the name is written only to the app’s own storage on your device. We never see it, because no copy of it exists outside your device.
Two things do use the network, and neither of them touches what you create. Apple’s App Store and StoreKit infrastructure delivers the app, its updates and the in-app purchase. And the free version loads advertising, which is described below.
Your data stays on your device
Everything you do in Selune lives only on your iPhone or iPad:
- Your favorite affirmations and any affirmations you write
- Your reminder schedule and preferences
- Your streaks and progress
- The goals and the mood baseline you pick during setup, and any mood you note later
- Your theme and personalization choices, including the optional first name
This information is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
Advertising in the free version
The free version of Selune shows advertising. A banner sits at the bottom edge of the app, below the tab bar, and is therefore visible on the Feed, Favorites, Stats and Settings tabs. In addition, a single full screen advert can appear after you close the share sheet, and at no other moment. That full screen advert is capped twice over: it never appears during your first session with the app, and never less than three minutes after the previous one. Selune Pro removes the advertising entirely.
The adverts are delivered by the Google Mobile Ads SDK. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and Google LLC elsewhere. To fill an advert slot, Google receives technical data from the device such as an IP address, device and operating system characteristics and, if you allow it, an advertising identifier.

Your consent comes first. Before the advertising kit is started at all, the app shows Google’s User Messaging Platform consent form, and iOS then asks its own App Tracking Transparency question. Only after that does any advert load. The legal basis is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future: open Settings inside the app and choose Ad privacy options in the About section. That entry is shown wherever Google’s consent framework offers a privacy options form, which covers the regions in which this consent is required. Buying Selune Pro removes the advertising altogether.
Google’s own processing is described at policies.google.com/privacy and, for advertising specifically, at business.safety.google/privacy. Beyond Google’s advertising kit and the aggregate recommendation counts above, Selune contains no analytics service, no attribution SDK and no crash reporting SDK.
Sharing
Apart from the advertising described above, we do not share, sell, or rent your information to anyone. What you write, favorite and track in Selune is never handed to the advertising kit and never reaches any third party.
Purchases
Selune Pro is offered as an in-app purchase, and it removes the advertising described above. All purchases and subscriptions are handled securely by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. Selune never sees your payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, Selune schedules gentle local notifications on your device. These are generated entirely on-device by iOS and are never sent through any server of ours.
This website
These pages are static and set no cookies. They do use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless measurement service of the hosting provider. It sets no identifier and builds no profile. It counts page views and records when a visitor follows a link to the App Store, together with the place of that button on the page and the path of the page. The purpose is to see which pages actually help someone find the app. No visitor is evaluated on a personal basis and nothing from it is passed on to third parties.

Children
Selune is a wellbeing app for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly process personal data of children under 16 years of age. What you create in the app never leaves your device in the first place, and the advertising in the free version is only started after the consent process described above.

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
